A Podcast

Today, we wanted to share with you a podcast that’s inspired in part by research on embodied positive psychology—in particular, the research of Amy Cuddy on how “power poses” (such as Mountain pose with your arms raised, for example) affect our biochemistry and emotions. Produced by National Public Radio, the most recent episode of Invisibilia, titled “Outside In,” looks at what happens when the first female debate team in Rwanda uses Cuddy’s research to improve their performance. There’s a twist that will really get your brain working! The episode also includes stories about how a workaholic was impacted by his unexpected connection with nature, and what it’s like to be almost famous for a day. Listen now.
