Today is the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere. Before days were overruled by the lightbulb, the winter solstice was a time of quiet contemplation, a time to think about what the longer days ahead would reap, depending on what was sown.

As this year winds down, what do you want to sow for 2017? How does this short day set the stage for your longer vision?

Here’s my favorite quote to celebrate the winter solstice:

“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.”
—Albert Camus

May this holiday season be filled with family, fun, and friends to warm your heart during the cold season and beyond.
